Welcome back Students and Parents, and welcome New Students & Kindies!
The PAC is happy to announce that we are offering a monthly Fun Lunch this school year. We are also excited to be introducing two new restaurants – OPA! And Ironworks Café.
We have 9 dates scheduled over the school year – Fun Lunch is always on Mondays.
Just like last year, we will be using the MunchaLunch Program for orders which allows
ordering and electronic payment at https://munchalunch.com/schools/mcgirr/
You will need to set up a new account and add your child(ren) (if one isn’t already existing from previous years). The website will be open by the end of September for ordering and orders / payments for our first lunch are due by October 12, 2024.

If there are any families who are in need of financial assistance to access this Fun Lunch
program periodically, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the McGirr Fun Lunch
Coordinator, Janelle, at janellestaite@gmail.com. All inquires will be kept strictly
confidential and the PAC will endeavour to sponsor as many students as possible between now and the end of the school year. Should your family wish to donate to our PAC Fun Lunch Sponsorship program, there is a donation option on each of the menus on the MunchaLunch website. All donations go towards supporting students at our school.
As with everything at our school, the PAC relies on volunteers to help make this happen.
Please contact our Fun Lunch Coordinator, Janelle, if you have any questions about
ordering or if you can help with the Fun Lunch program. Lunches will be distributed at long recess and volunteers will be needed between ~11:15am to ~12pm. Many hands make light work, and we are grateful for any help that parents, grandparents, or caregivers can offer.
We would also like to acknowledge Pauline Favero who has graciously volunteered to take over the Fun Lunch program next year when Janelle departs. Pauline will be co-leading with Janelle this year as she learns the ropes and gets up to speed! Thank you, Pauline!
